Armen Grigoryan is Visegrád Visiting Scholar. He holds a Master’s degree in Political Science (Central European University, 2006). His research interests include post-communist transition, EU and the Eastern Partnership, regional political, economic and security issues, and he has published several book chapters and journal articles. He has also published over 200 articles and interviews in Armenian media.

He has been a policy adviser for several Armenian non-governmental organisations; a regular contributor to US-based online journals, the Central Asia-Caucasus Analyst (since 2010) and the Eurasia Daily Monitor (since 2014); and has been assessing investment-related political risks in Armenia for IHS Global Limited. He is also an associate expert for the East European Security Research Initiative (Kyiv); an affiliated expert on Eastern Partnership countries, energy security and conflict transformation for the European Geopolitical Forum (Brussels); and a participant of the Partnership for Peace Consortium workshops (Track II diplomacy).

Previously, he did an internship at the European Parliament in 2007; was a guest scholar at the University of Prešov (2009) and at Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica (2013); Open Society Institute Local Government and Public Service Reform Initiative visiting fellow (2010-2011); Black Sea Young Reformers Fellowship participant (2011); International Visegrád Fund research fellow at the Open Society Archives in Budapest (2011); Think Visegrád research fellow (2013); visiting scholar at the Central European University Department of Political Science (2015) and the Central European University Centre for European Neighbourhood Studies (2017). He also was a peer reviewer for Global Integrity and Transparency International.
